Midnight Blue plays a blend of jazz, latin jazz and jazz-influenced pop and blues music.

The band includes jazz and gospel guitarist, Roger Williams, whose musical influences range from Wes Montgomery to Jimmi Hendrix. Roger studied music at Indiana University and with jazz-great Joe Pass. He also plays lead guitar for the gospel group, “The Good News People.”

Drummer Richard Engling has teamed up with Roger in various bands over the past decade or more. As well as being a drummer, Richard is a novelist, playwright and actor.

Keyboardist Jim Hartmann enjoys exploring a variety of musical styles, including jazz, blues and world music. He dreams of quitting his day job to spend more time creating original compositions.

The most recent addition to the band, vocalist Mary Theresa Reed, brings years of experience as a professional musician and music educator.
